ƒ High-Efficiency Single-Stage Power Conversion The FAN7318 is a LCD backlight inverter drive IC that ƒ Wide Input Voltage Range: 6V to 30V controls P-N half-bridge topology.

ƒ Backlight Lamp Bal ast and Soft Dimming The FAN7318 provides a low-cost solution and reduces ƒ Minimal External Components Required external components by integrating proprietary wave ƒ rectifiers for open-lamp protection and regulation. The Precision Voltage Reference Trimmed to 2% operating voltage range of the FAN7318 is wide, so an ƒ Half-Bridge Topology external regulator isn’t necessary to supply the voltage to ƒ Soft-Start the IC. ƒ PWM Control at Fixed Frequency The FAN7318 provides various protections, such as ƒ Analog Dimming Function open-lamp regulation, open-lamp protection, short-Lamp ƒ Burst Dimming Function protection, CMP-high protection, and FB-high protection, ƒ Programmable Striking Frequency to increase the system reliability. The FAN7318 provides ƒ burst dimming and analog dimming. Open-Lamp Protection ƒ Open-Lamp Regulation The FAN7318 is available in a 20-SOIC package. ƒ Short-Lamp Protection ƒ CMP-High Protection ƒ FB-High Protection ƒ Thermal Shutdown ƒ 20-Pin SOIC
