Die NCP502-Serie von linearen Spannungsreglern mit niedrigem Ruhestrom und niedrigem Dropout (LDO) mit festem Ausgang wurde für tragbare Kommunikationsgeräte und tragbare batteriebetriebene Anwendungen entwickelt, die einen niedrigen Ruhestrom erfordern.
Die NCP502-Serie verfügt über einen ultraniedrigen Ruhestrom von 40 µA. Jedes Gerät enthält eine Spannungsreferenzeinheit, einen Fehlerverstärker, einen PMOS-Leistungstransistor, Widerstände zum Einstellen von Ausgangsspannung, Strombegrenzung und Temperaturbegrenzungsschutzschaltungen. Der NCP502 wurde für die Verwendung mit kostengünstigen Keramikkondensatoren entwickelt. Der lineare LDO-Spannungsregler ist im Mikrominiaturgehäuse SC70-5 für die Oberflächenmontage untergebracht. Standardspannungsversionen sind 1,5, 1,8, 2,5, 2,7, 2,8, 2,9, 3,0, 3,1, 3,3, 3,4, 3,5, 3,6, 3,7, 3,8 und 5,0 V. Andere Spannungen sind in 100-mV-Schritten erhältlich.
